College girl commits 'suicide'

A student of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College allegedly committed suicide in the city's Motijheel area yesterday. Police said 18-year-old Tasmia Khan Proma, an HSC examinee, committed suicide by hanging herself with a scarf from the shower in a bathroom on their 3rd floor residence at 914/4, Shahidbagh. Police retrieved the body at about 2:40pm and sent it to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy. The reason for the suicide could not be known. Motijheel police filed a general diary in this connection.
