Reefat draws with Shakil

International Master Reefat Bin Sattar shared point with FIDE Master Abu Sufian Shakil in the adjourned first-round match of the Mercantile 31st National Chess Championship yesterday.

The championship resumes today with the seventh round matches after a rest day.

Defending champion Grand Master Ziaur Rahman is leading the table jointly with GM Niaz Murshed on 5.5 points. IM Abdullah Al Rakib is second with 4.5 points and Reefat is third with four points.
