Furniture shop employee shot

An employee of a furniture shop was shot at Kathalbagan in the city yesterday.

A gang of five sprayed bullets on Kawsar Ahmed, 18, a salesperson of Liton Metal Furnitures, indiscriminately at about 9:00am when he was opening his shop at 58/10 Free School Street, Kathalbagan.

Kawsar was shot in his right thigh.

He was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where he is undergoing treatment.

Dhanmondi police could not give details about the incident till writing of the report at 7:30pm.
