2 killed in road accident

Two people were killed and another was seriously injured in a road accident at Sakhipur intersection on Satkhira-Kaliganj road in Debhata upazila in the morning yesterday.

Abdul Hamid, 40, son of Azihar Rahman of village Padma Shakhra and Mizan, 38, of village Haroddah in Sadar upazila died while seriously injured Ebrahim was admitted to Satkhira Hospital.

The accident took place when a motorbike carrying fish traders Hamid and Mizan on the way to Debhata collided with a sand-loaded trolley, police said.
