Newsman arrested without warrant

A journalist has been arrested here without any warrant of arrest on December 23 night, according to family sources.

The arrested journalist is M A Muhit, Moulvibazar district correspondent of Jugantor, also Joint Secretary of Moulvibazar Press Club.

However, police of Rajnagar Police Station told that the journalist had been arrested from his Moulvibazar town residence in connection with a case over a family feud.

Moulvibazar Press Club executives and local leaders of Awami League, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal and Communist Party of Bangladesh strongly condemned the arrest.
