Uttara Bank, CDBL sign deal
Uttara Bank Limited has signed an agreement with Central Depository Bangladesh Limited (CDBL) to convert the bank's physical shares to scripless ones for trading on the stock exchanges.
The bank will also act as a depository participant of securities and treasury bills and government bonds under the deal, says a press release.
Shamsuddin Ahmed, managing director and CEO of Uttara Bank, and MH Samad, managing director and CEO of CDBL, signed the agreement on behalf of their organisations in Dhaka Sunday.
