Framing of charges tomorrow

The speedy trial tribunal is likely to frame charges against the accused in the Ahsanullah Master MP murder case tomorrow.

The Awami League lawmaker was shot dead at a Swechhasebak League rally at Tongi on May 7 this year. Omar Faruq Ratan, a schoolboy, also died and five others were injured in the armed attack.

Police submitted charge sheet against 30 people, including Jubo Dal leader Nurul Islam, for their involvement in the murder. Eleven of them were present in the court yesterday.

Earlier, a petition seeking discharge from the case was filed on behalf of accused Kabir Hossain, Dulal and Monir.
