3 killed in Ctg road crash

Three people were killed and 22 others injured, 10 of them seriously, in a bus-truck collision on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Sona Pahar area of Mirersarai upazila yesterday.

Police and witnesses said a Dhaka bound truck of Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) and a Chittagong bound passenger bus from Bhairab collided head on at about 2:50pm, killing a bus passenger on the spot and injuring 12 others.

Two of the injured aged between 30 and 40 were declared dead on arrival at Mastan Nagar Health Complex, while others brought to Chittagong Medical College Hospital. The identity of the dead could not be known.

Police seized both the vehicles.
