Bangladeshi shot dead by BSF

Indian border guards gunned down a Bangladeshi youth at Raghunatpur border point Monday night, escalating tension in the border area.

The victim was identified as Dildar, 22, son of Saiber Ali of Sawrupdah village in Sharsha upazila of Jessore.

BDR sources said the BSF men opened fire on Dildar as he tried to cross the border through Raghunatpur point, killing him on the spot. Later, the BSF troops took away his body.

Two Bangladeshi farmers were killed by BSF at the same border point on May 6.
