Tributes to Anjuman Ara Begum
Sargam, the only regular magazine on the music of Bangladesh, recently organised a discussion meeting. The function was held to pay respects to the late Anjuman Ara Begum. A musical soiree was also organised. Presided over by the editor Quazi Rownaq Hossain, the participants at the discussion session were journalist and musicologist Hedayet Hossain Morshed, senior guitarist Enamul Kabir and renowned dance composer Amannul Huq.Ustad Karim Sahabuddin and his daughter Tanjina Karim performed at the function. Enamul Kabir presented two very popular songs of Anjuman Ara Begum.
