Downfall of BJP

In the recently concluded elections, the BJP experienced a massive debacle in most of the states. After the Gujarat carnage, Atal Behari Vajpayee used all his trump cards to convince the Muslims but all ended in fiasco. His sidekick Narendra Modi drove a nail into his coffin. His recent endeavour to improve the ties between India and Pakistan was nothing but a hoax and Indian electorates justifiably rejected the man who is a by-word for communalism. He has proved himself to be tailor-made for perpetuating the vengeance between Hindu and Muslims.

The exhibition of notoriety masterminded by the BJP in Gujarat paved the way for the Congress to make a resounding comeback. Many political analysts opined that this oldest party of India would be written off. Now it remains to be seen whether the BJP will go back to its Hindu agenda. But it is crystal clear that secularism has regained its lost ground in India.
