Indian elections

India is definitely not a far away country from ours. More or less we share a common background. I congratulate the people of India for showing their maturity in the conduct of recently held elections. To me, all came out winners. There were no bragging on victory- no mud slinging -- no acquisition. My profound respect to Mr. Atal Behari Vajpayee for showing his strength of character in defeat. My admiration for him leaped when I heard him say, "Dear countrymen, we have given up office but not our responsibility to serve the nation."
