Youngmen's, Farashganj back to top
Youngmen's Club Fakirepool returned to the top flight after a season in the First Division Football League when they handed Wari Club a 2-0 defeat at the Shaheed Mustafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur yesterday.
With the victory Youngmen's emerged champions of the Western Union First Division League with 32 points. They are joined by Farashganj Sporting Club, who also had a season in the lower division before confirming a place they belonged in for a long time securing 30 points.
But it was Dipali Jubo Sangha, who stole the show in the First Division this year by running all the way for their maiden passage into the Premier League next year. Dipali will however face Farashganj in a runners-up play-off match the date of which has yet to be announced.
