BSF abducts 2 Bangladeshi fishermen

Indian Border Security Force (BSF) abducted two Bangladeshi fishermen from Betna border under Haripur upazila of Thakurgaon district on Thursday, official sources said yesterday.

Witnesses said the BSF men picked up Sultan Ahmed, 22, and Kalu Mia, 25, while they were fishing in the Nagor river near the border.

On information, Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) personnel of Betna Border outpost rushed to the spot and lodged a strong protest with the BSF.
