Criminal Iqbal nabbed in Ctg

Police yesterday nabbed an alleged leader of a criminal gang with his four alleged operatives at Panirkal in Pahartoli.

Raiding a house on information, police held Mohammad Iqbal, alleged chief of Raozan-based criminal gang Iqbal Bahini, and four others at about 6:30pm, police said.

However, police could not name the four other arrestees immediately.

Iqbal, accused in over 100 cases including of murder, abduction and extortion, and the others were being quizzed, police added.

A case was lodged with Pahartoli Police Station.
