Gas supply to several city areas will remain suspended from 12:00 this noon to 6:00 tomorrow morning, while consumers of piped gas at many other city parts will experience low pressure during the same period.

Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd. said gas supply would remain suspended in the areas of Dakkhin Badda, Madhya Badda, Ananda Nagar, Post Office Road, Satarkul and certain parts of Rampura and Shahjadpur.

The areas that may suffer low pressure are Tejgaon, Gulshan, Banani, Baridhara, Mirpur, Mohakhali, Moghbazar, Malibagh and Khilgaon.

Officials concerned attributed the probable supply disruption to commissioning of a 'tie-in' at Tejgaon to improve overall gas pressure in the Tejgaon-Gulshan circle. A trial shutdown of the line was already performed from 9:00pm to 12 midnight on November 30 without causing any major disruption in supply, sources added.
