Pakistan win second ODI


Pakistan beat South Africa in the second day-night limited-overs international by 42 runs at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Sunday to take a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.

Put into bat, the home side made 267 for seven in 50 overs with Yousuf Youhana smashing a brilliant 65. Hero of the first ODI Shoaib Malik made 45.

In reply, the South Africans lost wickets at regular intervals and eventually finished on 225-9. Boeta Dippenaar, who had scored a hundred in the first match, scored the highest 58.

Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Sami, who took three for 20 off eight overs, was declared man-of-the -match.

The next game is a day affair and will be held on October 7 in Faisalabad.
