Police quiz suspects, get no clue to rescue Anil

Police have started interrogating three suspects in the abduction of a Chittagong physician but failed to get any clue.

No ransom was demanded yet for release of Dr Anil, who was abducted from Satkania on the Chittagong-Cox's Bazar highway on Thursday night, police said.

Police raided in vain different hideouts near the highway and other places yesterday.

With Anil's abduction, such crime incidents in Chittagong rose to 15 since business magnate Jamaluddin Ahmed Chowdhury was kidnapped 73 days back.

Law enforcers made numerous raids and arrests but could not know the fate of Jamal, let alone rescue him.

Police even failed to nab prime accused Abul Kasem, a upazila chairman of Fatikchhari.
