Outlaws kill 2 in Pabna

Two people were hacked to death allegedly by outlaws yesterday in separate incidents in Pabna.

Baki Billah of Satgram village at Ekdantapur union under Atgharia upazila was called out of his residence at midnight and taken to a nearby farm land by a gang of 12, locals said.

Police found Billah dead the following morning. Billah, also a member of an outlawed party, was wanted in several criminal cases, police said.

In the other incident, unidentified assailants killed Arap Ali at Idulpur Bazar in Chatmahor upazila.

Witnesses said a gang of 10 in masks attacked Ali in the busy market. Having failed to escape, he sought for help in vain and was killed on the spot.

Two separate cases were filed in connection with the murders.
