Bangladesh came very close to their first ever Test victory in Multan. However, the eventual defeat was heartbreaking

The Tigers deserve all the credit for the fighting spirit they showed despite their limited resources. Khaled Mahmud and his team can hold their heads high after what they have achieved in this Test series.

Although the results didn't go in their favour, the tourists dominated the last two Tests most of the time.

In Multan, the wicket was very lively and green and had a lot of bounce and swing. It was ideal for a fast bowler. Resting Mashrafee-bin-Mortuza in this match was a mistake.

Alok Kapali showed courage and determination when he came to bat the next day after he was hit on his right eye by a bouncer from Shabbir Ahmed.

Mohammad Rafique has become a part of cricket history through his tremendous sporting gesture at a crucial time. He had the opportunity to run Omar Gul out at the non-striking end in his delivery stride but cautioned the batsman instead.

For Rafique, this Test series was fantastic. He finished with 17 wickets, the highest in the series, and also had two five-wicket hauls.

The captain of Pakistan Rashid Latif has been banned for 5 one day internationals for cheating. Television replay clearly showed that the catch he took to dismiss Alok Kapali was dropped. He was rightly punished by the match referee Mike Proctor.

Rajin Saleh was definitely the find of the tour. This young man is full of promise and has a bright future. He bats straight, has a good technique and temperament and his fielding is excellent. He was very unlucky to be run out in his first innings at Multan.

Habibul Bashar once again proved himself as the best Bangladesh batsman. He has scored runs against every attack in the world. If he shows a little more patience in his shot selection, he can score more runs in the future.

Having played well in the Test series, the Tigers are now ready to play better and positive cricket. They have started to believe in themselves and have gained confidence.
