Egypt gives positive response
Egypt gave a positive response to Dhaka's request for support to the Bangladesh candidature for OIC Secretary General.
Outgoing Egyptian Ambassador Mohammed Mohyie M Youssef gave the positive signal when he made a farewell call on Prime Minister Khaleda Zia at her office yesterday.
Referring to excellent bilateral relations between the two countries, the prime minister hoped that Egypt would extend support to the Bangladesh candidate for the top post of the Organisation o0f Islamic Conference.
On a positive note, the Egyptian ambassador said the people of Bangladesh and Egypt are brothers and the Bangladeshis occupy a place in the hearts of the people of his country.
