Hasina assures new Nepalese envoy of all cooperation

Newly appointed Nepalese Ambassador Vhagirath Basnet yesterday called on Leader of the Opposition in Parliament and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina at her Sudha Sadan residence.

They discussed economic assistance and business relations between the two countries and other regional and international matters of mutual interests. They also discussed increasing business activities between the two friendly countries.

Congratulating the new ambassador, Hasina hoped that friendship between Bangladesh and Nepal would be strengthened during his tenure. She assured him of all out cooperation and assistance in discharging his duties.

She said if Bangladesh and Nepal work together, their economic progress will be accelerated.

AL Presidium member Kazi Jafrullah MP, International Affairs Secretary Syed Abul Hossain MP and Sheikh Hasina's Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad were present.
