2 Pakistanis held with fake Indian currency

Customs intelligence today detained two Pakistani citizens and seized Rs 1.71 crore fake Indian currency from them at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital.
Abu Zahir, 50, and his daughter Yasmin, 18, were picked up while crossing the green channel at the airport, Moinul Khan, director general of customs intelligence, told The Daily Star.
The duo arrived in the airport at 1:00pm by a flight of Pakistan airlines from Karachi, he added.
Yasmin, who has come to Bangladesh for the first time, has also Bangladeshi citizenship, the official said.
A total of 195 cartons of Esse brand cigarettes worth around Tk 4 lakh were also recovered from their possession, Khan said.
