A mobile court yesterday fined two candidates for violating election code of conduct in Chitalmari upazila election of the district.
The court led by Executive Magistrate Shah Mohammad Rafiqul Islam fined chairman candidate Mollah Mujibur Rahman Tk 50 thousand for bring out a motor rally in the upazila.
Shaheb Ali Farazi, a vice-chairman candidate, was fined Tk 2000 for using two loudspeakers in a vehicle for campaigning.
Chitalmari upazila goes to polls on March 23.
