16 held while going to India illegally

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel arrested 16 people while they were going to India illegally through Putkhali border under Benapole port police station on Wednesday night.
Apurbo Hasan, officer in-charge of Port Police Station, said a team of BGB 23 Battalion arrested 12 men, three women and a 9-month old baby while they were going to India without valid documents.
The arrestees were yesterday placed before a Jessore court that sent them to jail, added the OC.
