11.7kg gold seized at Dhaka airport

Customs officials seized 100 gold bars, weighing 11.7 kilogrammes, from underneath a seat of an airliner at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka today.
The gold, worth around Tk 5.3 crore, was found from a flight of Flydubai Airlines that landed at the airport around 11:00am, said Farid Al Mamun, assistant commissioner at airport customs.
However, no one was detained in connection with the incident.
