10 girls return home from Indian jail
Ten Bangladeshi girls returned home from India on Friday night after languishing in a jail there for nine months.
Indian police handed them over to the Bangladeshi immigration police at Benapole check-post.
The returnees hail from different upazilas of Jessore, Narail and Satkhira districts.
Aslam Khan, officer in-charge of Benapole check-post immigration police, said the girls went to India nearly a year ago in search of jobs.
Paschimbanga police arrested them from Hawra area and sent them to jail through a court, he added.
