Youth shot dead in Sylhet BCL men firing
A teenage boy was shot dead and seven suffered bullet wounds when the activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League and Jubo League, who went to occupy an auto-rickshaw stand, opened fire in Beanibazar upazila town last night.
The deceased is Niju Ahmed, 17, a meat seller hailed from Koshba village in the upazila, reports our Sylhet correspondent.
Transport workers claimed that former BCL convener of upazila unit Jamal Ahmed had been trying to grab the rickshaw stand at Dakshin Bazar since Shamim Ahmed, president of the auto rickshaw stand committee, died recently.
