Youth held for stoning Khaleda’s office
Detectives detained a “furious” young man for hurling a stone targeting the building of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan office in Dhaka this afternoon.
A team of police’s Detective Branch picked up Poran, 24, from outside of the main entrance during the act around 1:30pm, eyewitnesses and journalists present there said.
Talking to reporters, Poran said: “My brother was killed in a petrol bomb attack on a bus. I came to show my hate anger towards her (Khaleda) who has enforced the blockade.”
Gulshan Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Rafiqul Islam confirmed The Daily Star of the detention and also affirmed the cause for capture.
