Writ seeks health test of sacrificial cattle
A lawyer today appealed with the High Court seeking order for appointment of veterinary doctors for all the cattle markets in Dhaka ahead of Eid-ul-Azha to examine health of the sacrificial animals.
The team will find out the presence steroid (one kind of hormone group medicine) such as Dexamithason, Cortisol, Bitamithason, Hydrocortison as well as Ciproheptadine and Urea, Oradex, Cortan, Adam-33, Piredanisolon, Decason etc which are used to make the animals look healthy but harmful for human health.
Advocate Manzill Murshid submitted the petition on behalf of Human Rights and Peace for Bangladesh seeking test of all cows, buffalos and goats up for sale in the cattle markets between October 3 and October 8.
