Charity Pierce, from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, weighs in at a whopping 56 STONE and her heavy frame has left her housebound and unable to walk unaided.
But the 38-year-old has dreams of having the perfect wedding and wants to shed a staggering 20st so that she can walk down the aisle with Fiancé Tony Saur, who at 22 is nearly half her age.
Charity said: "I’m determined not to have to get married at home – I want to be able to walk up the aisle.
"We both love country music so I plan to wear a wedding dress, cowboy boots and cowgirl hat and Tony will be in jeans and cowboy boots."
Her mission will be no easy task, however – Charity has had to reduce her calorie intake from 10,000 to just 1,200-a-day.
The weight loss isn't just for her wedding as doctors have warned her that unless she loses weight she is at high risk of having a heart attack or a stroke and dying in her sleep.
She revealed: "My dream goal is to be 14st and get married to my fiancé.
"I don’t want much – I just want to have a life."
Lover Tony is helping his woman through her diet, which had previously consisted of a daily artery-busting helping of cereal, two pizzas, two large sandwiches, five doughnuts, two plates of lasagne, a Kit Kat, a massive bowl of popcorn and some Pop Tarts.
With his help, however, Charity now eats three yoghurts, a banana with peanut butter, mixed vegetable, grilled chicken, vegetable pizza and crackers with hummus.
Tony is also helping Charity find a doctor who is willing to perform a bypass operation in a bid to help her lose weight and save her life.
Tony said: "Charity’s size has never been an issue for me.
"I think she will be a beautiful bride. I do worry that she is going to die early but I try to support her to lose weight.
"I feel confident she will lose weight and have the operation."
