Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi's car was pelted with stones yesterday when he was visiting flood-hit Banaskantha district in Gujarat.

Rahul escaped unhurt in the attack which left the rear window panes of the car broken. Sitting in the front seat, he was travelling with elite Special Protection Guard commandos, some of whom were reportedly injured, said The Indian Express.

Neeraj Badgujar, Banaskantha SP, said a stone was thrown at the car in which Rahul was on his way to the helipad after meeting flood victims at Dhanera.
