Letter of thanks from Obama to Hiroshima
Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum received a letter of thanks on Thursday from US President Barack Obama, who became in May the first sitting US president to visit the atomic-bombed city of Hiroshima.
"I visited Hiroshima to reaffirm my commitment to working toward a world without nuclear weapons," Obama wrote in the letter, which has his signature at the bottom.
The museum has sent Obama an illustrated book about the bomb's damage, a photo book with images of the personal belongings of atomic bomb victims, and other items.
