What govt can do if judiciary intervenes: PM
The Prime Minister Sheikh today expressed her resentment over frequent petitions to the court saying that overenthusiastic actions by somebody are creating obstacles for executive branch.
She made the remarks at her introductory speech at a meeting of Awami League central working committee, the highest decision-making body of the party, at her official residence at Gono Bhaban.
"The three branches of the government should not impede each other. The executive branch will do its work. But what will the executive branch do, if judiciary performs the duties that is basically jurisdiction of the executive?" she posed a question.
Hasina, also the president of the ruling Awami League, once again expressed her government's firm stand of arrest and punishment of the culprits behind the sensational Narayanganj seven-murder case, saying that none would be spared, no maters about their political and family identity.
