Two killed as train rams vehicle at level crossing

At least two people were killed and three others seriously injured as a train hit a human hauler at a level crossing near Patgram station in Patgram upazila on Wednesday night.
Akter Hossain, gatekeeper of the railway level crossing, was suspended as he was absent at the gate.
The deceased are Sahidur Rahman, 38, son of Amir Ali of Alauddin Nagar village and Mazidul Islam, 12, son of Hafizul Islam of Islampur village.
Injured Aminu Islam, 52, son of late Pahar Uddin, Yunus Ali, 54, son of Abdul Quader of Islampur village and Faridul Islam, 54, son of Naimuddin Miah of Nabinagar village, were admitted to Rangpur Medical College and Hospital in critical condition.
All the victims were the passengers of the human hauler that was mangled badly, said Kamal Hossain of General Railway Police GRP.
