Training for teachers held in Rajshahi
A daylong training to enrich English language skills of teachers was held in Rajshahi city yesterday.
The training is a part of The Daily Star-Robi “English in Schools” programme that is being held to promote English learning among teachers of 1,000 secondary schools across the country.
The teachers will be given different tools and techniques of delivering lessons on the language to students, as well as shown how to motivate the pupils.
About 48 English teachers from 25 selected schools of Rajshahi, Natore and Chapainawabganj participated in the training held at a city hotel.
A total of 100 schools of Chittagong, Sylhet, Rajshahi, and Khulna divisions have been selected for the programme.
Training consultant Mahfuzul Bari, among others, spoke on the occasion.
