A fire broke out in a Dhaka bound train from Sylhet -- Kalni Express -- at Cantonment Railway Station in the capital this afternoon.
Three compartments were burnt before the firefighters succeeded to bring it under control.
On information, firefighters rushed there and doused the fire in half an hour around 2:00pm, a duty officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters told The Daily Star Online.
The fire was originated from an oven of the train’s kitchen in one of the bogies, Abdul Mazid, officer-in-charge of Dhaka Railway Police Station, said.
