DU syndicate suspends 102 students

Dhaka University syndicate yesterday suspended a total of 102 students – both of affiliated institutions and of the university – for different terms on charges of adopting unfair means during examinations. A political science department teacher has been sacked for cheating in his PhD dissertation. The syndicate in a meeting Sunday evening, chaired by the Vice-Chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique, took the decision following a recommendation from university’s Disciplinary Board, said proctorial sources.
