Following allegations of some of Rab members’ involvement in different criminal activities, BNP leader Sadeque Hossain Khoka today called for withdrawing military personnel from the elite force in a bid to save the image of the armed forces. BNP Vice-Chairman Sadeque Hossain Khoka secured six-month bail from the High Court today in three cases including one for killing sub-inspector Md Shahjahan in May last year. With the HC bail order, there is now no legal bar to Khoka's release from jail, barrister Saqeb Mahbub, a lawyer of Khoka, told The Daily Star. Khoka denied bail again

BNP Vice-chairman Sadeque Hossain Khoka was denied bail again by a Dhaka court today in three cases. Judge Md Zahirul Haque of the Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court rejected the bail prayer after Khoka’s lawyers submitted a petition before the court challenging a lower court's bail rejection order. Khoka was shown arrested in a case filed for killing sub-inspector Shahjahan during the May 5 mayhem in Motijheel centering the Hefajat-e-Islam rally.   He was also shown arrested in two other cases including attempted murder of police by throwing cocktails, vandalising vehicles and preventing law enforcers from discharging duties in the capital's Shantinagar and Malibagh areas during a demonstration.
