All-rounder

'Needed the win badly'

Shakib Al Hasan only responded with a smile in reply to whatever question he was asked. The world's number all-rounder, who had achieved yet another milestone by becoming the first Bangladesh player to cross the 4,000-run mark in ODI cricket, walked off with a smile on his face. His teammates, though, said that they didn't even congratulate him for the feat because they know Shakib will make 12,000 runs in his career, if not 15,000. Nasir Hossain, who was...

It was expected that the board was going to take stern action against the all-rounder but still the BCB president Nazmul Hassan Papon's words were heavy with emotion when he announced: “Our board has unanimously decided to ban him from competitive cricket for the next six months, both...

'He crossed a line'

On the day when all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was suspended from competitive cricket for six months there was a mixed reaction from Bangladesh's cricketing community.
