An upazila-level BNP leader was stabbed to death allegedly by an Awami League activist in Kaliganj upazila of Jhenidah this morning. Deceased Ismail Hossain, 58, was vice-president of BNP Kaliganj upazila unit and also party president of ward No. 1 of Kaliganj municipality unit, reports our Jhenidah correspondent. Ismail was elected councillor of the municipality in 1990 and 1995 and an acting mayor in 1998.
