A man was killed in a “gunfight” between criminals and the members of Detective Branch of police at Mugda in Dhaka this morning. Tarek, 26, came in the line of fire during the gunbattle and suffered bullet wounds around 9:00am, said Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner (media and public relations) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police. A couple were hacked to death in their home allegedly by a college student in Mymensingh on Saturday night.
