An Awami League activist was stabbed to death by unidentified miscreants in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj this evening. Abul Kalam Azad alias Edu, 30, of Dhobra village, was an activist of the ruling Awami League, said Motiur Rahman, assistant superintendent of police (ASP) in Chapainawabganj quoting the victim’s father. The miscreants severely stabbed him at a mango orchard in Tinpukuria area around 6:00pm, leaving him dead on the spot, the ASP told our Chapainawabganj correspondent.
