Sylhet arson victim dies at DMCH
A trucker, who was burnt in a petrol bomb attack in Sylhet, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) this morning.
Bokul Debnath, 35, succumbed at the burn unit of DMCH around 7:00am, reports our Sylhet correspondent.
Debnath and his helper suffered burns as miscreants hurled petrol bomb on their truck at a place near Bagher sarak area on Sylhet-Tamabil highway around 1:30am on January 19.
The duo was admitted to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital from where Debnath was shifted to DMCH on the following day.
The truck driver hailed from Goalabazar under Osmaninagar Police Station.
Police filed a case against 40 unknown persons in connection with the attack and later arrested 3 suspected arsonists, said Md Abdul Hai, officer-in-charge of Gowainghat Police Station.
