Police yesterday attached movable property of former minister and BNP Vice-president Shajahan Siraj in connection with a land grabbing case.

The case was filed with Ashulia Police Station recently.

Policemen led by Riaz Ahmed, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kalihati Police Station, went to Shajahan's house at Betdoba in Tangail at about 11:30am and attached all the movable property including furniture.

Later, they brought those to Kalihati Police Station.

Riaz Ahmed said they conducted the drive following a court order on October 5 to attach all movable property of Shajahan Siraj as he did not appear before the court.

Shajahan, former lawmaker of Tangail-4 constituency, has been absconding along with his family members.
