In an effort to restore normal life in Sidr-hit areas, CARE Bangladesh has distributed non-food items to 17,918 families in badly affected Bagerhat and Barguna districts this week.

The process of distributing non-food items among 14,600 more families is underway.

In the first phase, non-food items worth Tk 3.30 crore, including sarees, blanket, spade, water jerry can, plastic glass, plastic bowl, sanitary napkin, bed sheets, mosquito nets, children's clothes, matches, ORS and soaps, were distributed.

In the second round, CARE Bangladesh will distribute MOFA-Germany and MOFA-Norway funded non-food items among 14600 households.
