Chief of Army Staff Gen Md Abdul Mubeen will leave Dhaka for India on Sunday on a five-day goodwill visit at the invitation of his Indian counterpart Gen Dipok Kapoor.

Gen Mubeen's wife and four army officers will accompany him during the visit.

During the visit, the Chief of Army Staff will call on Indian army chief and discuss matters of professional interest and bilateral issues. He will also visit different Indian army establishments.

The army chief is expected to return home on March 20.
