The Bangladesh Olympic Association yesterday reinstated the men's 200m breaststroke in swimming for the South Asian Games to be held in Bangladesh from January 29 to February 9 next year.

The South Asian Olympic Committee on Wednesday included the women's 400m freestyle event, scrapping men's 200m breaststroke in its 40th executive committee meeting and the BOA yesterday reinstated the dropped event to raise the men's events to 12 while women's events stands at seven.

The game governing body also revised the distance of women's road race mass start event in cycling as it has been reduced to 50 kilometre from 170 kilometre, said a press release.
