StanChart head of group country risk in town
Alex Barrett, head of group country risk at Standard Chartered Bank, is now in Dhaka on a two-day visit, the bank said in a statement yesterday.
Barrett is scheduled to meet senior officials of Bangladesh Bank, stakeholders, staff and clients during his stay, according to the statement.
Barrett is responsible for assessing, assigning and managing the country risk exposures of Standard Chartered Group, which is present in 74 countries and operates in over a 100 countries.
He had previously been responsible for group research, running a team of over 120 equity, fixed income, commodity, foreign exchange, and macro-economic strategists for five years. He has over 25 years of experience in different financial operations.
