A 21-member Bangladesh Under-19 preliminary squad was announced yesterday for the preparation camp of the upcoming ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup to be held from February 8 to March 2 in UAE this year.
The camp will start from January 15 and the selected players have been asked to report at the National Cricket Academy in Mirpur on January 14 at 4.30pm. The camp will continue up to February 7.
The Bangladesh Under-19s put in a frustrating performance in the recently concluded Asia Cup in Dubai, where they were eliminated from the group stage.
Shadman Islam, Najmul Hossain, Yasir Ali Chowdhury, Musaddek Hossain, Mehidy Hassan, Saeed Sarker, Joyraj Sheik, Mohammed Jasim Uddin, Abu Hider Rony, Rifat Pradhan, Mustafizur Rahman, Nihad-Uz-Zaman, Jubair Hossain, Rahatul Ferdous, Prosenjit Das, Zakir Hasan, Sifat Islam, Nahid Hasan, Munim Shahriar, Mohammad Sumon and Mohammad Noor Alam.
